Sigesa’s innovation efforts recognized by the Ministry of Economy

MINECO, Spain’s Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, has awarded Sigesa with the ‘Innovative SME’ stamp for its R&D strategy.

In the context of the Europe 2020 Growth Strategy, the European Commission has repetitively highlighted the importance of innovation in SMEs as a vehicle to improve the competitiveness in the global economy, and has actively promoted it though the RIS3 instrument. The ‘Innovative SME’ stamp is a distinction created by the MINECO to reward publicly Spanish SMEs that are following the European initiative and putting innovation at the heart of their businesses.

The move from volume to value-based healthcare, fewer resources and stricter regulations are challenging healthcare companies across the border to become more creative and innovate at a faster pace. The ‘Innovative SME’ stamp recognition is an indicator that Sigesa has put its focus on innovation and is moving in the right direction.
